Web-Enabled Document Automation for Law Firms and Their Clients

How the DirectLaw Service Works

If you have an existing web site, we will add .html coding and a hyperlink to a log-in page containing your firm's branding and/or logo.  This will serve as your client's gateway to their own MyLegalAffairs web page.

Within their personal MyLegalAffairs web page, your clients can:

  • purchase legal documents bundled with legal advice;
  • purchase legal advice on a per-incident/question basis;
  • search a frequently asked questions (FAQs) database of legal questions (optional);
  • communicate with you online;
  • access legal information resources; and
  • access other client support functions.
Clients pay for legal services online via credit card -- or you may choose to bill them the traditional way.

Clients complete an online questionnaire.  After completion of the questionnaire, the client clicks the Submit button and their legal document is created no matter how complex it is.  Access your client's completed document(s) through an online Administrative Area; review the document; amend if necessary; and then return the document to the client's MyLegalAffairs web page with execution and/or other applicable instructions.

We understand that some clients will prefer to meet with you in person ("offline").  In this case, your offline clients' information is collected using a paper questionnaire.  Our paper questionnaires are tightly integrated with our interactive Rapidocs® document templates.  A client's completed paper questionnaire is used by you (or your paralegal) to enter the client's data into our web-based system.  The document(s) is instantly created and ready for your review.  This feature provides you with an in-office document automation solution.

Export the document/form in rich text format (.rtf) or .doc format for use with MS Word for future editing (if needed).  Print the completed and reviewed document on your local printer; send it to the client as an attachment to an email; or upload it to the client's MyLegalAffairs web page -- the choice is yours.
