Clio Integration with DirectLaw

DirectLaw now integrates with Clio

Clio is a very robust web-based practice management solution that is completely cloud-based like DirectLaw. DirectLaw is a full-featured client portal application that includes a web-enabled document automation solution plus state specific libraries of automated legal documents. DirectLaw is not a "back office" practice management application that keeps track of functions like timekeeping and billing  and docket control.

Now lawyers can combine DirectLaw's client portal with Clio's practice management application, through the use of the Clio API (Application Programming Interface). Using Clio's API we have achieved a high degree of integration between DirectLaw and Clio. If you are a subscriber to Clio, with a simple mouse click you are now able to:

  • Export a client to Clio as a contact

  • Update Clio if client contact information changes

  • Export the following as matters to Clio

    • Document Preparation

    • Legal Advice by phone, email, or web cam

    • Court Coaching

    • Legal Document Review

  • All of the transactional information associated with these matters will be seamlessly imported into Clio.

  • Clio will also be updated if the matter goes from "open" to "completed."
